Manifest redactat per la unitat de pioners de l’Agrupament Escolta L’Avenc

El passat 2019 un grup de joves voluntàries vam observar la manca de projectes d’associacionisme educatiu al Poblenou i vam crear el que ara es coneix com l’Agrupament Escolta l’Avenc, el nou cau del Poblenou, que ha esdevingut un clar èxit de l’educació en el lleure al barri mitjançant les bases de l’escoltisme. Ara mateix hi participen una cinquantena d’infants, adolescents i joves i les seves famílies.

Malgrat tot, durant aquest curs, a l’Agrupament ens ha mancat un local propi on poder realitzar els caus i les activitats setmanals. Fins ara hem fet servir l’espai del Casal de Joves Can Ricart i el Perequartu. Cal fer accent que aquests no són locals del cau, i encara que ens han posat moltes facilitats en tot moment per fer ús de l’espai, confiem que sigui una situació provisional i poder tenir un local propi com més aviat millor; que promogui el sentit d’identitat de les infants i joves, que podran fer-lo seu i passar-hi el temps que desitgin sense dependre d’horaris externs; i també el de les famílies, que podran veure aquest espai com a punt de trobada i de referència de l’associacionisme educatiu en el mètode escolta al barri del Poblenou.

És per això que com a Agrupament sol·licitem formalment al districte de Sant Martí que ens concedeixi l’espai de la Nau Annexa com a local, una part del complex fabril que ara mateix està en obres de manteniment. Es preveu que les obres finalitzin entre desembre del 2020 i gener del 2021. No havent-hi cap altra proposta per aprofitar aquest espai, ens sembla l’espai idoni per a impulsar el nostre projecte d’educació en el lleure, essencial al barri del Poblenou.

La nau es troba dins el recinte històric de Can Ricart, un antic conjunt fabril declarat Bé Cultural d’Interès Nacional. Creiem que és un espai molt adequat per a mostrar els valors escoltes als infants, adolescents i joves del barri, que contemplen el sentiment de pertinença cap a l’entorn proper, que en el cas de l’Avenc és el barri de Poblenou, i el foment del compromís social.

L’espai de la Nau Annexa, a més a més, inclourà altres projectes de caràcter social i associatiu del Poblenou. Lla Comissió conjunta CanRicartCau, formada per el Casal de Joves Can Ricart, la Taula Eix Pere IV i nosaltres, al principi del 2019 vam presentar un projecte que podria cobrir les necessitats de les tres entitats: un local propi per l’Avenc, l’ampliació del Casal de Joves i la creació d’una cantina cooperativa i d’oportunitat social que enfortiria la xarxa d’associacionisme del barri.

No és la primera vegada que les veïnes del Poblenou reclamem espais on poder reunir-nos. La iniciativa de Can Ricart Cau, que rebutja el 22@, va ser l’inici d’aquest gran projecte promogut per la Xemeneia, la Taula Eix Pere IV, el Casal de Joves i l’Avenc, que té l’objectiu de reclamar la conservació i el bon ús del patrimoni històricoindustrial del barri i que actualment compta amb el suport de 51 associacions.

Així doncs, estem convençudes que la Nau Annexa podria reviure amb aquest projecte.La planta baixa acolliria els projectes de la Xemeneia i el Casal de Joves i de la Taula Eix Pere IV, i per l’altra banda, l’Avenc tindria, per fi, el sostre que necessita per a poder fer activitats i acollir tant infants i joves del barri com les seves respectives famílies, i així assegurar un futur estable per l’escoltisme al barri. La Nau pel Cau!
